This is what Christmas looks like at my mom's house. She's so festive and decorates everything to perfection. Then spoils us! Christmas is my favorite.

Red Top: Two Ways

If you follow me on Twitter, you should know that I'm ridiculously sick and have been for two days now. That's why this post is so late! But better late than never, right? Yesterday's post was about all the Christmas decorations we put up and my mom's tree we helped with. Today, is the outfit post of that day.

Part one is what I wore while decorating. Boyfriend style jeans (my favorites), my favorite boots, my new necklace (that you saw in my vlog), and this gorgeous red top. Casual and comfy, so that I could move all around the giant tree my mom has. Decorating is hard in anything but loose fitting clothes.

Part two is from our impromptu dinner date. After all that decorating, we treated ourselves to our favorite restaurant, Bar Louie. It's down on the levee and since we were there, we decided to take some pictures near the river. We're obviously on the Kentucky side and all the buildings are the Cincinnati skyline. Trust me, it's not nearly as pretty during the day.

I decided to put on skinny jeans for our night out, even though the others would've worked fine, cuffed. Then I opted for my favorite heels because I think the studs in the shoe compliment the tiny studs on the jacket. And of course my envelope clutch for some shine.

Do you guys love this jacket? I'm obsessed. We stopped by my grandma's Saturday also, because of a dress fiasco (more on that another time), and she had this bag of jackets and whatnot from a lady that she knows. I think it was 4 jackets, a lace shell, and a faux fur vest. You know I've been dying for faux fur! Best part is, they all fit me perfectly! Needless to say, everything came home with me. I can't wait for you guys to see all of it!

It's time for you to know that I have a jacket collection. And obsession. I cannot resist a gorgeous coat or a fun jacket, for the life of me. In fact, when I go shopping, Henry and my mom both tell me "no, more jackets". So I definitely lucked out big time at my grandma's, haha!

Christmas Decorations!

Saturday, Henry and I went up to my mom's. She needed her hair colored and was putting her tree up too, which might be my favorite holiday tradition. I love all the ornaments we've amassed over the years, even the weird handmade ones my brother and I made when we were really young. Henry and I managed to scoop up some ornaments from her too!

Check out our friends under the tree! I used to call the reindeer a "moose" when I was little.. I still do, let's be honest. When we got home, being in the Christmas spirit, we put up our tree and some lights in our apartment/out on our patio. 

I know the lights look a little... tacky. But I love them! We're going to make a trip to Ikea soon and get a small table for the tree to sit on. I can't wait to get some presents under it! Definitely in the Christmas spirit here!
