Moving Day!

I've Moved!

I know you've been waiting and waiting and here it is: the big reveal. I've officially moved! If you follow me on Twitter, you should've already noticed a small change, as that has been different for about a week! But thankfully, after all the technical difficulties, I can finally spill the beans! While LLB has treated me well these past few months, I decided it was time for a change. Therefore, I bought my very own .com! Here it is ladies and gentleman..

I hope you visit, and more importantly if you follow me now, start following the new site so you can be updated! All of my links and more info about the switch has been posted on The Tiniest Firecracker, so click that link up there and come check out my new corner of the blogosphere.

Hope to see ya soon!

Lately.

Add some soup and this is my life for the past couple days.

Apologies for being m.i.a. and hopefully, this passes soon.

Bad News!

Forever 21 at about 1am. We stood in line for about 20 mins.

I don't have a Black Friday video. Or any pictures, except this one. We honestly could barely get around in the mall and the lines were ridiculous! More than last year, for sure. I DO have an outfit post coming and I'm definitely doing a haul video of all the stuff we got. Maybe not the presents though... Hmm..

My camera's flash stopped working, too. So there's that. (Don't worry! We replaced it today!)

That's not the worst news though. I'm sick. Like really sick. Like I've barely moved since we got home and I don't feel any better, pretty sure I'm developing a fever. I felt bad two nights ago but this is unreal. I'm gonna post the outfit post tomorrow hopefully but the video will have to wait until I feel better. Fingers crossed that, that's soon because I'm the WORST at being sick. Poor Henry and Todd. They have to take care of me! Now, I'm gonna attempt to eat something real and watch Quantum of Solace.

P.s. Daniel Craig is not a real James Bond.

Tattuesday: Encore for Turkey Day

I am having a bad day today, health-wise. I've been in bed for most of the day and I plan on going back soon. Because of this, Tattuesday is officially back. Just for today! Don't worry. These are stupid/fun tattoos in honor of Thanksgiving. :) Enjoy!

In other news, HENRY GOT ME A NEW CAMERA!! I'm in love with it :) Isn't he the best? So now I can give you all some wonderful pictures from the holidays and maybe even a couple videos? What do you think about a black Friday video? And maybe a haul from what we get? Let me know in a comment!!

All pictures are linked.

Family Additions!

Today we added a new member to our family :)

Isn't he the sweetest!? Doesn't he look like a fox? :) The name he came with is Bailey (I think that's incredibly girly) but we're renaming him Todd. Just like the fox in Fox & the Hound!

Welcome to our family, little guy!

Henry's an Old Man.

Yesterday was Henry's birthday!

He's now a whopping 23. We went to Olive Garden (yum) for dinner and then had friends over for cake, ice cream, and crappy candles. Have you ever used candles that didn't have a wick? Or the wick was underneath a ton of wax? We should've just used spaghetti. I didn't get a picture of the cake (it wasn't that pretty anyway) because I'm still getting used to taking pictures of things but here's us at Olive Garden.

Birthday boy!

Henry's best friend/our roommate, Nick.
We used the Obamney app and this was TOO funny.

This is what I wore:
Aggravated with Henry. Haha, oops!

Dress: Gifted
Faux leather jacket: Target (similar)
Basic tights: Kroger
Rock & Republic shoes: Kohl's
Metal Mesh Bag: Vintage
Multi-band bracelet: gifted
More solid bracelet: Kohl's

Sometimes our Sundays are fun! :) And yes, that is red lipstick. What did you do Sunday?

If You Know Me, This Is a Big Deal.

I went to a farm!!
Saturday, even though it was doom and gloom outside, Henry and I took a trip to a farm. And by trip I mean, we drove two minutes from our apartment. I. Had. SO. Much. Fun. Sure it rained on and off and it was super chilly (and muddy) but I had one of the best days I've had in a long time. I fed goats, pet them and some pigs, pet a mini horse, MILKED A GOAT, held a baby chicken, and took a hayride to a pumpkin patch where we got the best pumpkins I've ever gotten! We're gonna carve them soon so be sure to not miss that post.

Here are all the pictures we took. I hope you guys love them because I am in love with all of them.

Note: Pigs are not soft.

THE best picture from the whole day. Dying.

Softest bunny ever. (Rex?) Sorry about the light.

Proof.

More proof.

Ugliest pumpkin ever.

On the hayride

The cutest farm house. (Also, the garden where we ate a mint leaf.)

We also got two little baby pumpkins!

Smallest horse! (She was only 25in from toe to wither.)

I'm actually terrified of birds.
Outfit details:
Long-sleeved tee: Arizona Clothing at JCPenney (so old)
Flannel: gifted
Jeans: Wet Seal
Boots: pinkbasis.com

That's how we spent our Saturday! It was also game day so I'll do a separate outfit post for that. (Two in one day- whaaa?!)

How did you spend your weekend?

It's Just One of Those Days..

Ignore the fact that I just inadvertently channeled Limp Bizkit.

Last night, all was going well. I watched (and simultaneously tweet my ass off about) the Project Runway season finale (more on that when it really hits me that this season is over..), and the season premier of The League. (Do you love that show, or do you love that show?) Then, as per usual, read up on my blogs that I follow while Henry started up the Xbox. Several matches of Call of Duty later, I started to feel so freakin terrible.

Not sick (big surprise there) but really, really low and down on myself. I know we all have these days but for some reason late last night I just could not talk myself out of it. It wasn't even the usual physical unattractiveness (< not a word) that I sometimes feel, it was personal. Like my mind was vengeful. It started as just a humm-dumm bummed out attitude but then it grew.

Being so sick lately (as most of you know I am) is really gettin me down, I guess. I feel as if I'm not unique and that I'm completely uninteresting. I feel like I have nothing about me that makes a stranger say "Hey, I wanna be friends with her." I know it's silly, but sometimes I can't just tell myself that I'm being ridiculous and that I have so many new friends and opportunities to live a better life than I ever have. I felt like I like everything (for two seconds), but love nothing. Not people, by any means, because I have so many people that I truly am thankful for in my life. Just things. I feel like I have no favorites. Except a color... Teal is my favorite color.

Anyway, I put myself in a terrible mood and now it's 8am and I still haven't slept and I'm contemplating life, which is a terrible thing to be doing with no rest in me, knowing that I'm being a debbie downer.

Again, I know everyone has these days. And I may be acting like a total whino, but this blog is for me as self help and self love; for remembrance, guidance, wishes, hopes, dreams, aspirations, etc. You're all just invited. Plus, it gives me a reason to want to get out of pjs everyday and focus on life as a journey, not a destination. (That's how the saying goes, right?) Before starting this blog, these days were more common and  I know its only been a week writing it, but its giving me willpower. To get up, out of bed everyday, and try to live life. No one wants to read about me sitting on the couch, watching mindless tv, staring at this screen. (Does anyone even read?)

I need to remember all of the reasons I'm doing this and that I am someone that no one else is. It'll always be that way and always has been. In this process I hope to find myself. I feel so out of touch and I need to get back into the self-motivating, self-appreciating, and soul-searching ways that I've forgotten.

So consider this step 1: Venting and realization.

And with that, I'm gonna go try to sleep. (Or find some lipstick...)

How do you guys get out of slumps like these?

Growin' Like a Weed

Can we just talk about hair today? Because mine is so long!!

Last night, I took this picture. It was probably almost 3am so excuse the lack of style. We were being goofy and took the picture for our friend, Matt, who Henry plays Xbox with almost every night (which is also our nightly routine.. they play and I watch).

Silly faces for silly friends!

As some you know, or most of you probably, in November of 2010, I shaved the right side of my head. That's right, the whole right side!

It started because I wanted steps. You know, like the shaved lines that get shorter as they go down the side of your head? Yeah, those. Well, I was in beauty school and convinced one of my teachers to shave the side of my head down to almost nothing and then do the steps. It looked great! But then it grew out, as hair does, and I was bored, as women do get with their hair.

SO then I decided, "Wouldn't it be fun to shave cheetah print into my head?!"... I was obviously deranged. The people who did it, yes people, were very nice but they messed. it. up. So I was all upset and talking to another girl who had a mohawk and one thing led to another and we shaved the side of my head.

Ohhh, I miss my dermal.

Let me just tell you, I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair. Ever. I actually had it like this for two months!! The second month, my hair was dark though and I didn't like it as much. Lately, I've been getting so bored with my hair and have missed it this way but LOOK HOW MUCH MY HAIR'S GROWN! I think I'll just color it (dark?) and trim it. It's been so much work growing it out and getting it healthy again.

What do you guys think? Have you ever done anything dramatic or crazy to your own hair?

Monkey Cakes, Followed By Brie

No, "monkey cakes" is not a pet name I have for Henry.

We went to his nephew's first birthday today (remember the gift we got in Yellow Springs yesterday?) and his sister had the cutest cupcake cake with, you guessed it, a monkey on it.

See?
I ate some cheese cubes, a cupcake (or two) and watched the Bengals game. They lost.

Later, Brie (my best friend) came over! She gave me some of her clothes she doesn't wear anymore (score!) and I gave her my not-so-old pots and pans and a dresser that we have no room for. All in all, I'd say it was a fair trade. I missed her! Really though, our day was pretty chill.

This is me and the mrs a while back. (Do you like her tough face? Ha!)

Honestly, we did a whole bunch of nothing UNTIL 9!
Guys, do you watch The Walking Dead? Did you see the season premier tonight!? Did you love it?! It might be one of the best stories on tv right now (aside from Dexter). Usually I watch a lot of HGTV or competition reality shows but The Walking Dead is sooo good. Especially the gore. I love some good gore. So naturally, I'm into a good zombie flick (or show). Who isn't lately?

So, what'd you all think of the premier?
